History

The enterprises included into the Unitile Group of Companies have an abundant, almost half-century history.

1954

Voronezh Factory of Ceramic Products was founded. Capacity — 1.18 million square meters per year.

1964

Shakhty Faience Factory was built. The first products were faience items, such as sets, cups, vases, wash sinks, as well as artistic ceramics.

1978

A ceramic tile shop was opened at the Shakhty Faience Factory. Capacity — 1.4 million square meters of facing tiles per year.

1993

Development of Vladimirovskiy deposit of refractory and high-melting clays was started (Rostov region).

1998

Beginning of the large-scale production modernization. Start of technical re-equipment of the porcelain and faience manufacturing shop in order to install two production lines for facing tiles.

1999

The construction of the federal distribution network was started. Regional subsidiaries are opened, which sell ceramic tiles in Rostov-on-don and Novosibirsk.

2005

Manufacturing of the new product, porcelain tile, was launched. It was the first production of this special variety of ceramic tiles in the Southern Federal District.

2006

Production of dry building mixtures was started. Capacity of the new fully automated factory — 40 thousand tons per year.

2007

Joining the group of companies of VCF plants. According to the 2007 results, Voronezh Ceramic Factory was declared as "Best Industrial Enterprise of the Voronezh region".

2008

Organization of the Markin brick production at the Vladimirovskiy open pit of refractory clays. This production has no analogues in the Russian market of finishing materials by its technical equipment status.

2009

Launch of the new brand, Unitile, onto the market. Ceramic tiles, porcelain tiles and dry building mixtures are being produced under this brand.

2012

Beginning of the development of the largest Fedorovskoe white-burning clays deposit. The reserves of this deposit, located in the Krasnosulinsky district of the Rostov region, account for 10 million tons. High-quality clay mixture both for manufacturing of ceramic tiles and bricks can be obtained from the extracted clay.

2013

Launch of the new brand, Gracia Ceramica, onto the market. This young Italian brand offers to its buyers collections of ceramic tiles and porcelain tiles, created by the talented designers from the Gracia Design Studio exclusively for Russia.

2016

Voronezh Ceramic Factory (Voronezh Ceramics, LLC) was awarded with the "Building Glory" plaque and the diploma "For great contribution to the development of the construction industry in the Voronezh region" issued by the "Russian Union of Builders".

2016

Large-scale modernization program of the Voronezh production site within the Group of Companies (Voronezh Ceramics, LLC), extending through 2018, was started.

2017

The modernization program of the Shakhty production site of the Group of Companies (Shakhty Ceramics, LLC) is included into the list of “100 Top Governor’s Projects”.
