The project for the modernization of No. 10 line of the Shakhty production site of the Unitile Group of Companies is added to the list of 100 governor's projects.
The decision on this was taken at the meeting of the Investment Council under the Governor of the Rostov Region on December 29, the last day of outgoing 2017. As a result of the project, which involves investing over 250 million rubles, the enterprise will be able to produce porcelain tiles of large size, e.g., 600x1200, with lappo effect (glossy, polished surface of the tile) and other special effects.
— "This product is most in demand for commercial facilities and during facade works. We are also interested in it because it will be a further continuation of our expansion into the premium segment, where we will become direct competitors to foreign producers. I am sure that consumers will choose our products, since we can offer a substantially lower price without a quality compromise," Unitile CEO Sergey Klykov says.
"Currently, we are at the final stage of signing equipment supply contracts with the leading global producers, such as System S.p.A., SACMI, Ancora SITI-B & T, BMR Group. The line itself is planned to be commissioned in September 2018."
— "It is very important for the region that one of the largest federal producers continues the tradition and actively participates in the priority projects of the Rostov Region. This is not the first project of Shakhtinskaya Keramika which has entered the governor's hundred and, we hope, not the last one," the Minister of Industry and Energy Mikhail Tikhonov emphasized in his report.
